Sullivan Creative Wins Six NEDMA Awards for Creative Excellence

Newton, MA/Dunbarton, NH – Sullivan Creative received six creative excellence awards at the New England Direct Marketing Association (NEDMA) Annual Awards Competition on April 6 at the Roxy in Boston. One of the key judging criteria is results, and Sullivan Creative demonstrated its ability to meet its clients’ marketing objectives for projects in the following categories:

  • Consumer Ad (image or brand building) category for a print ad for Wellington Preserve, an upscale equestrian development in Palm Beach, Florida. Sullivan Creative developed an ad that appealed to the targeted audience and highlighted the advantages of this unique property.  The ad was placed in equestrian-focused publications and festival and horse show programs and helped Wellington Preserve build awareness and generate sales inquiries.
  • Agency/Supplier Self-Promotion Direct Mail category for a Fiesta Open House invitation. Sullivan Creative wanted to motivate clients, prospects, and subcontractors to attend its open house event celebrating its new office location.  The event was scheduled for May 5, and had a fiesta, or Cinco de Mayo theme.  The unique invitation matched the fun and colorful theme and successfully attracted a sizeable crowd to the event.
  • Consumer Catalog category for a recruitment catalog developed for Boston University’s Summer Term program. The catalog, which focused on the advantages of spending a summer in Boston, featured a tagline “Discover the Power of Summer” and incorporated a unique graphic element, which evoked the lines of the Zakim Bridge, a new Boston landmark. Throughout the catalog, graphics, photos and color were used to illustrate the activity at BU’s Charles River campus. The catalog is a key fulfillment piece for student inquiries.
  • Collateral category for a brochure developed for the League of NH Craftsmen’s first-ever Open Studio Tour.  The brochure served as an advertising piece and also as the tour directory. Sullivan Creative designed the brochure to be user friendly and organized by using regional maps and a corresponding numbering system. The brochure was a critical component in promoting the Open Studio Tour and the League was pleased with the number of visitors who participated in the event.
  • Integrated Media Campaign (B-to-B) category for materials developed to promote i-parcel, a start-up international mailing logistics company, at the Annual Direct Marketing Association Conference. Sullivan Creative produced an eye-catching booth display, a brochure, and other corporate materials that were distributed at the show and helped i-parcel generate awareness and interest in their services.
  • Integrated Media Campaign (traffic building) category for League of NH Craftsmen’s Annual Fair promotions. Sullivan Creative developed a strong brand for the design of all the Fair promotion pieces, which included advertisements, emails, posters, a brochure, and postcards. These materials helped the League meet its attendance and revenue goals for the Fair.

The NEDMA Awards is a results-oriented competition that recognizes creative and strategic achievement by New England advertisers in all direct marketing media. This year marks the 25th Anniversary of NEDMA’s Award Competition for Creative Excellence.
